Ms Khor's Boutique Theatre
Vocal Arts Programme
Ms Khor’s Boutique Theatre Vocal Arts’s programme is designed to develop skilled performers is all areas of vocal technique. The programme is tailored for singers who must not only sing, but act, dance, analyse text and take on roles with significant physical demands. Ms Khor’s Boutique Theatre provides opportunities to perform in operas, musicals and concert stage at the Esplanade Theatres by the Bay - Singapore's national performing arts centre. The Vocal Arts programme includes three main areas - Vocal Training for Stage Performance, Dance, Movement and Acting Class for Singers and Diction and Language Class.

Vocal Arts Programme
Vocal Training for Stage Performance
Vocal Training lessons are designed to develop skilled performers in all areas of vocal technique (vocal production and projection for stage performance, breathing, control and proper placement of the human voice) and to offer opportunities to perform a wide variety of vocal literature. This includes classical music, opera, musical theatre/broadway, folk songs, songs in foreign languages (Italian, French, German, Mandarin etc.) jazz and pop.
Basic: $75/45min
Intermediate: $85/45min
Advanced: $100/45min
Principal/Artistic Director: $100/30min
Dance, Movement & Acting Class for Singers
Dance, movement and acting classes are a mixture of movement techniques, improvisation and choreography. Students will work on stagecraft and deportment within arias, songs, and opera/musical scenes, while focusing on body awareness, coordination, and movement memory. Students will also learn concepts of character, context, and imagination.

Diction and Language Class
​Diction and language lessons are classes designed to help singers develop their diction and articulation for singing. Students will study the phonetic rules and sounds of the classical pronunciation of English, German, Italian, French.
The programme also trains singers to use vocal inflection and emotion in their voice to communicate a clear message to your audience. Learn the secret of 'colouring your voice' so others not only hear, but feel your performance.

Vocal Lessons
Vocal lessons are designed to develop skilled singers in all areas of vocal technique (vocal production, breathing, control and proper placement of the human voice). Students will learn a wide range of vocal literature, including classical music, opera, musical theatre/broadway, folk songs, songs in foreign languages (Italian, French, German, Mandarin etc.) jazz and pop.

ABRSM Singing for Musical Theatre
Music Theory
Music Theory classes teach the fundamentals of music theory. Students will study topics such as rhythm, musical notation, scales, key signatures, intervals, triads, seventh chords, harmonic function, harmonic progression, and elementary counterpoint.
Aural & Sight Reading
​Aural and Sight Reading classes train singers to be literate musicians. Students will learn to read music and improve their ability to perform previously unseen musical extracts. The ear-training aural classes also teach students to recognise musical features such as metre and pulse, pitch and performance characteristics by ear. Students will also gain an understanding of cultural practice and historical and social contexts which influence the music they study.
